New Year's thoughts.. improvement is always an option

Here's wishing all the admins I know.. and those I don't... the very best for 2008.

How about the very best equipment?
Or, the very best educational opportunities
Or, the very best positive attitude about trying new things, being open to new ideas?
Or, recognizing the very best job opportunity shining your way?

All of these things are the best. What is best for you?

Once we have recovered from the holiday rush of December.. one of my favorite things is to have time to reflect (note I said, reflect, not beat up oneself) on some ideas for the next year.

This year, I achieved my main goal-- earning the CAP designation. This year my goal is a bit different. I want to share my insights about obtaining both my CPS/CAP and some methods for approaching companies that are looking for tried, true and competent admins. I don't know the method yet.. but I'll get there somehow.

I used to approach the New Years resolution list with great disdain. Luckily, I'm older now and I approach it differently... selecting just one goal ... instead of many... and knowing that just trying to achieve it..taking the steps to achieve the goal is more than half the battle.

If you get a chance in the next 10 days or so... sit down for 20-30 minutes. Think about something you hope to do.. something that makes your adrenaline kick up ..just a notch or two.. (let's keep it real-- ok... I don't think any of us are running off with a superstar anytime soon- :) )

As I've heard many gospel singers and preachers state.."If we can believe it, we can achieve it."
